At Nike Cross Nationals, held at Glendoveer G.C. in Portland, Oregon, the Boys Team placed 5th with 173 points; only 21 poiunts out of 2nd place. Daniel Simmons led the team with a 2nd place finish in 14:51.7 on the cold and windy 5k course. He is American Fork's 10th NXN All-American. Complete Results

In the Girls Championship Race, Avalon Mecham also earned 3rd Team All-America status with a 15th place finish in 17:35.1.

At the Saturday night awards ceremony, Coach Timo Mostert received the "Joe Newton Boys Coach of the Year" award.

Nike Southwest Regional Results

The Cavemen raced today as members of the American Fork XC Club at the Nike Southwest Regional Championships held at Coyote Run Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona. Complete Results

The Boys Team came away victorious in the Boys Championship Race with a score of 113 points. They qualified for the 10th time to Nike Cross Nationals, to be held December 3rd in Portland, Oregon.

Postseason Grinder #1

Congratulations to Jacob Landon and Talon Beebe. They ran 8:48 and 8:51, respectively, up the Grinder today to earn their "I Conquered The Grinder" t-shirts.

State Results

The Cavemen raced today at the Utah State Cross Country Championships, held at the Rose Park Regional Activity Complex in Salt Lake City.

The Girls Team placed 2nd out of 18 teams and 137 runners. Complete Results
