Several Caveman alumni participated in their college conference championships yesterday and today:
Danielle West placed 13th in 21:55 for 6k at the Summit League meet for the 2nd place SUU.
Robby Lee placed 34th in 26:29 for 8 k at the Summit League meet for the 5th place SUU.
Mike Felix placed 41st in 26:04 for 8k at the Great West Conf. meet for Champion UVU
Alexis Laws placed 28th in 23:20 for 8k at the Mountain West Conf. meet for 5th place Utah.

Fall Sports Assembly
This morning, the Boys and Girls Cross-Country Teams were honored at our Fall Sports Assembly.
Acedemic All-Region honors were presented to Kevin Judd, Tyson Green, Clayton Young, Kaijsa Angerhofer, Lakyn Lux, and Morgan Warner.
The Girls' Team was recognized for their third place finish at the Utah State Championships, and Jasmyn Hildebrandt(6th) and Jamie Lee(8th) were recognized for their All-State Awards.
The Boys' Team was recognized for thier State Championship and they presented their State Trophy to the school. The boys were recognized for their state placings: Clayton Young - individual state champion, Mack Morrison - individual state runner-up, Nafe Richardson(4th), Austin West (6th), and Derk Day (8th), Daniel Keller (13th), and Kevin Judd (17th). They were also recognized for setting a State Course Record of 78:01; a record by 91 seconds over the record our Cavemen set last year.

The athletes on the J.V. squads were also recognized for the the hard work and effort they had put into the season. We are grateful for all the parents, administration, faculty, community members, and student body who support our team. I have never seen as many students in our school interested in how our team is doing as there have been this year, and I hope it only helps build our program even more.

Team Banquet

Utah State Championships
The Girls took Third and the Boys 1st at State today.
Jasmyn Hildebrandt(6th) and Jamie Lee(8th) earned All-State honors for the girls. They were followed by Lakyn Lux(13th), Diane Leach(43rd), Makayla Bernardo(55th), Taylir Garrison(75th), and Kylie Buckwalter (79th).
The boys won with an astounding 21 points and a State Record 78:01 five-man cumulative time.
Clayton Young was our second straight individual State Champion. Also earning All-State were Mack Morrison(2nd), Ashenafe Richardson(4th), Austin West(6th), and Derek Day(8th). They were followed by Danny Keller(13th), and Kevin Judd(17th).

ESPN-Rise Rankings
Today, ESPN-Rise published their mid-season rankings.
American Fork moved up one place to 2nd in their national rankings behind Arcadia, Ca.
Davis moved up to #7 and Pine View #17

The American Fork Boys have gone from #4 to #3 yesterday in The Harrier.

Region IV XC Championships
The Boys JV took the top 12 spots, and 21 of the first 29 places. The Girls JV had 4 in the top 9 places. For the girls, Jamie Lee was All-Region at 4th place. On the boys' side, Mack Morrison (1st), Clayton Young(2nd), Nafe Richardson(4th), Derek Day(5th), Kevin Judd(8th), and Daniel Keller(9th) also earned All-Region honors.

Park City Invite
Yesterday, the AF J.V. raced at the Park City Invite. It was a beautiful day in the mountains: sunny, 60-70 degrees, the leaves are changing. The course was 2.94 miles of hills at 6700 ft. altitude on dirt roads and trails East of town at the National Ability Center.
The Girls JV squad placed 13th out of 20 teams in the Girls Race. Scoring for the Lady Cavemen were 52-Diane Leach(20:39), 71-Kylie Buckwalter(21:25), 108-Ashlyn Hatch(22:26), 111-Kaovae Belt(22:28), and 116-Taylir Garrison(22:34). They were followed by 141-Ashley Larson(23:06), 156-Paige Leyba(23:36), 158-Jen Squire(23:41), 164-Krissy Eakins(23:49), 165-Beth Laney(23:51), 211-Kirsten Shelley(25:08), and 277-Melissa Hirsch(31:23).
